Leni Terese Hansen

BOARD MEMBER

Leni is in the process of taking a Master's degree in English literature and culture. She has a penchant for films with good character portrayal, spectacular cinematography and magical music. Films that are highly socially critical or deeply melancholic are also of interest. Otherwise, she is also an enthusiastic television (marathon) watcher, reader of speculative literature and self-proclaimed nerd.

Morten Helland

BOARD MEMBER

Freelance filmmaker who works mostly with sound, but also likes to write scripts. He tries to watch at least one movie every day. More if he can. Writes music almost every day (When he's not watching movies). And apparently he also tends to watch too many films at festivals after receiving some nasty letters from his body and eyes the following week.

It doesn't matter what genre a film is or where it comes from.
If he likes it, he likes it, but it's mostly style over substance.

Favorite directors:Park Chan-Wook, Nakashima Tetsuya, Edgar Wright, Hélène Cattet & Bruno Forzani

Favorite movies:Oldboy (2003 of course), Confessions, Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, Synecdoche New York, Let the Corpses Tan

Jan Arild Martinsen

Originally from Tønsberg. Studying film science at NTNU. Has been in love with movies since he saw Star Wars as a 7-year-old. Loves to write about and discuss film. Often prefers rich world building, the fantastic and the dystopian.

Favorite directors:Denis Villeneuve, David Fincher, Joel & Ethan Coen, Quentin Tarantino, Ridley Scott, Alfonso Cuarón, Martin Scorsese, and many more.

Favorite movies:The Empire Strikes Back, The Exorcist, 12 Angry Men, Spotlight, the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and many more.

Kevin Brendan Martinez Murphy

BOARD MEMBER

Kevin has a Bachelor's in English and in film studies, and is currently taking a master's in film and media studies at NTNU. He has no ideas about which genres or types of films are better than others (although he is known to be poorly suited to horror films), but rather appreciates films that create commitment and an impression on him. He enjoys a light-hearted comedy as much as he does a dark drama.

Favorite directors:Quentin Tarantino, Wes Anderson, Patricio Guzmán

Favorite movies:Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Pain and Glory, Nostalgia for the Light, Good Will Hunting

Alexander Bucsis

FINANCIALLY RESPONSIBLE

Alexander grew up between Norway, England and Canada. He has been interested in films since childhood, boasting an impressive collection of VHS tapes. As a teenager, his view of, and interest in, film was greatly expanded upon discovering The Criterion Collection, which introduced him to names such as Ingmar Bergman, Jean-Luc Godard and Andrei Tarkovsky. Since then, his interest in more esoteric and niche films has only grown, but he can still find joy in a good genre film or bad B-movie. He is both educated and works in economics.

Favorite directors:Stanley Kubrick, Ingmar Bergman, Luis Buñuel, Michael Haneke, Paul Thomas Anderson, Aki Kaurismäki

Favorite movies: Persona, Eraserhead, Vivre Sa Vie, Mirror, Berlin Alexanderplatz, Barry Lyndon, Come And See
